QuickLog greatly speeds and simplifies the process of creating boring logs (borehole logs)/well lithology. Completely menu driven, QuickLog is intended to be used by geologists or data entry staff members to create boring logs diagrams without the need for a CAD system. The format of a boring log (borehole log) is designed by choosing headings and columns to be shown - no programming or complicated formatting commands are used.
The QuickCross and QuickFence modules use data already entered in QuickLog to create cross sections and fence diagrams. The user has the choice of producing cross sections or fence diagrams with the layers connected or left unconnected.
QuickGIS enables you to organize the lithology data for a set of borings into a table of X, Y, Z coordinates and geological layers. You can then export this data to ArcView and other GIS systems or use it to enhance the abilities of QuickCross/Fence. Using QuickGIS, you can connect the geological layers using your skill as a geologist to produce report-ready diagrams. This feature saves you the step of importing the diagrams into CAD.
The QuickSoil program produces a soil analysis table which shows soil sample test results for a set of parameters. Each soil sample is placed at its correct depth and shaded according to the value of each parameter tested. The table makes it easy to see the areas of contamination throughout the different layers of soil.
Groundwater Database (GWDB)
The Groundwater Database System (GWDB) consists of a database manager and the two main reports, "Summary by Well" and "Summary by Parameter." GWDB was designed specifically for the groundwater field.
